In February, old boy Matthew Pearce (1982) came talk to the Grade 1s about his days at WPPS.
Water saving was the name of the game at the beginning of the year, and the Grade 7s were involved in a solutions-based water-saving workshop with old boy David Perrott (2003). The boys came up with innovative ways in which they could save water. They were then trained to share their findings with the Grade 4s.
Later in March, the Grade 1s had a history lesson with past staff member and past parent, Sue Cooke. Thanks, Sue, for inspiring the boys.

Kyle Deans (2014) visited us again, this time going to see the boarders at Barlow House.
Wetpups welcomed back Francesco Paulucci de Calboli (2008) as a guest speaker!
Thank you, Francesco, for coming back to talk to the boys about your passion, saving our planet, and your experience in China.
The boys were intrigued to learn about the Chinese culture and how they are now battling with litter issues, even out in more remote nature spaces, such as when walking in their beautiful mountains. Francesco reminded the boys how lucky we are to have our beloved Table Mountain, and encouraged the boys to help preserve our heritage.
