Wetpups are very proud that we have two old boys representing South Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games! James Thompson (1997 leaver) will be competing in the final of the men’s lightweight double skulls later this afternoon, after clinching first place in the heats earlier today, narrowly beating Ireland. Together with his rowing partner, John Smith, they will be going for gold this afternoon!
Another old boy, Brevan Thompson (2006 leaver), is the coach/manager of the South African sailing team taking part in the Rio Olympics. What an amazing achievement for both James and Brevan…we know you will do yourselves and your country proud.
